Women in Tech Panel | Girls Who Code Week 9 | May 17, 2019

Girls Who Code Clubs are meant for high school girls to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, and use Computer Science to change the world. Club members will be able to learn from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community though interactive activities, and learn about inspiring role models. Members would then work in teams to design and build a Girls Who Code Project that solves real world problems they care about through code!

During Week 9, we had the honor of hosting an interactive Women in Tech Spotlight. Thank you Kathryn Jonas [Software Engineer at TeachersPayTeachers], Clara Nice [Software Engineer at Squarespace], Dr. Sarah Zelikovitz [Computer Science Professor at CSI], and Jasmine Cardona [Executive Director of Economic Development, Continuing Studies, and Government Relations at CSI] for an insightful and inspirational session with advice on closing the gender gap in tech. For our next session, we shift our focus to completing our "Teens who Tutor" group projects.
